Where The Fuck Is Dead Island 2?

Dead Island 2

E3 2019 is set to kick off in less than three weeks, which means fans and devs alike are likely freaking out about what is to come. Since the studios know what is inbound, fans are left to wonder what could be on the horizon. That said, this year’s event will mark five years since Dead Island 2 was revealed, and while we received gameplay shortly after the reveal, communication has been dark ever since. This has left one lingering question for the past few years – Where the fuck is Dead Island 2?

During a recent financial report, THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors touched on the development of Dead Island 2, and while he didn’t go into any specific details, he did confirm that is “still being worked on” and that we should “stay tuned.” Of course, this isn’t exactly the thrilling news that fans would like to hear about the highly anticipated open world zombie game, but it is definitely good to hear that it’s still happening.

Unfortunately, Wingefors also didn’t reveal exactly how far into development Dead Island 2 is, nor did he mention who is working one the title, which would have been nice considering the rumors that Sumo Digital had been removed from the project. Either way, this could be another case of troubled development, not unlike the first title in the series, or it could just be the devs taking their time to ensure it’s the best game it can be. Here is to hoping we learn more at E3 next month.

Dead Island 2 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
