The Walking Dead Creator Introduces Brand New Comic Series
From the Walking Dead creator, Robert Kirkman, comes a brand new comic series titled Oblivion Song. His work features illustration by Lorenzo De Felici and Annalisa Leoni, for another impactful story that features protagonist Nathan Cole, a man who must exterminate demonic monsters in a hellscape known as Oblivion to find hundreds of thousands of people who mysteriously disappeared. Oblivion Song currently has three issues with the very first one hosting a variant cover, which is also a delux collector’s edition and that includes a foil stamp, 11 inch statue, 1.25 inch lapel pin, exclusive art print, and of course the cover. Especially for hard-core fans of Kirkman, all of that can be yours for $200. It’s best to act quick since this particular collection is a limited edition deal and only one-thousand sets are available. Here’s the official synopsis of the series:
A decade ago, 300,000 citizens of Philadelphia were suddenly lost in Oblivion. The government made every attempt to recover them, but after many years, they gave up. Nathan Cole…won’t. He makes daily trips, risking his life to try and rescue those still living in the apocalyptic hellscape of Oblivion. But maybe…Nathan is looking for something else? Why can’t he resist the siren call of the Oblivion Song?”
Issue number 2 dives deep into Nathan Cole’s personal life and his decisions to stay true to the mission. Consequentially, that places a strain on his relationship. As for issue three, he discovers the missing citizens in Oblivion don’t wish to leave. In fact, they’ll kill those who stand in the way of their newfound livelihood.
