Tintin Adventure Game In The Works For PC And Consoles

Tintin

The Adventures of Tintin is a classic illustrated comic series about a young and plucky reporter and his dog Snowy. In a brand new collaborative announcement by Microids and Moulinsart, the two will be co-producing an action-adventure game that’ll take the worldly and daring duo on yet another expedition. Of course, characters such as captain Haddock will have their spotlight as well.

According to a press release, “This new action-adventure game will transport the player into a whirlwind of incredible situations and suspense hand in hand with the legendary Tintin and Snowy characters. Other iconic characters will join the cast like the renowned captain Haddock, fond of fine whiskey and sophisticated slurs, the genius professor Calculus and the finest detectives Thomson & Thompson.”

It’s been 9 years since the last Tintin video game was released and both Microids and Moulinsart plan on making the property’s return to the gaming industry on PC and console platforms. It’s a proud collaboration for both stakeholders. After 250 million books sold across the globe, it’s about time to come back with grand and new ideas for Tintin and his pal.

“We are extremely happy to work on this co-production,” said CEO of Microids Sephane Longeard. “We have been willing to make this happen for quite some time. This announcement is the result of a creative process allowing us to define precisely how this project will take shape and the two companies will interact. This really is a dream come true for us. The adventures of Tintin transported millions of readers worldwide and this opportunity will allow us to put our talents at the service of one of the biggest creators of the 20th century and its inked hero: Our team members are fans of the famous reporter and will do their best to pay this franchise a vibrant homage. We can’t wait to kick-off this project!”

Created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi and known by the alias Herge, the comic series gained acclaim across the world. Eventually, Steven Spielberg directed The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn which debuted in 2011 alongside its video game counterpart by the same name. While there’s much yet to be revealed, Microids informed that the game’s title, artwork, and additional details are soon to come.
