Spider-Man PS4 Features Fallout 3 Easter Egg

Spider-Man PS4

Marvel’s Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 has taken fans by storm over the last few days, with some even likely obtaining the system to cash in on the exclusivity of the title. That said, players are beginning to find secrets and Easter eggs scattered about New York City, including the very sad one we recently covered. In addition to this, there’s a neat little nod to Fallout 3 hidden in plain sight in Spider-Man PS4.

Be warned, however, as we are entering spoiler territory. If you have played the game already, you will have likely encountered this specific area, as it is near the beginning. That said, after going toe-to-toe with Kingpin in Fisk Tower, you head to work as Peter Parker. Your place of employment: Octavius Labs. After completing a few things with Dr. Octavius, you are able to survey the lab at your leisure.

You will find a few things around the lab. Dr. Octavius has voice memos scattered about and there is a boombox located on shelf. Go to this and turn it on to get down to gloriously generic music. Turning it off and back on will cycle the song playing, with one of those tracks being the Fallout 3 Easter egg you’ve been looking for. It comes in the form of “Let’s Go Sunning,” a song featured on Fallout 3’s Galaxy News Radio. You can check out the tune below:

The song was originally composed in 1954 by Jack Shaindlin, and was one of many licensed tracks highlighted on Galaxy News Radio in Fallout 3. Others hits that were featured came from the likes of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sid Phillips. We can only imagine how many web-slingers will be running an old-timey playlist during their playthrough of the latest Spidey adventure.

Spider-Man is currently available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as more Easter eggs are discovered in Spider-Man PS4, and if it’s more gaming goodness going on right now that you’re after, check out the following:
