Scavengers Is A Survival “Co-Opetition” From Former Halo Devs (VIDEO)

Scavengers

Announced by Midwinter Entertainment back in March of this year, Scavengers has finally received its first trailer. During The Game Awards 2018, which was filled to the brim with game reveals and updates on previously known titles, the video premiered.

Scavengers is a survival shooter “co-opetition,” according to the developers. Speaking of which, Midwinter is made up of former 343 Industries members, with ex-Halo creative director Josh Holmes taking the reins. Some might even find similarities between the upcoming title and Halo 5’s Warzone mode. Check out the trailer for yourself below:

“In a not-so-distant future, a cataclysmic event has led to a new ice age, and a vast, frozen wasteland awaits exploration,” the video’s description reads. “The best chance of overcoming the challenges of this post-apocalyptic world is by working together. Faced with extreme weather and limited resources, hostile inhabitants and opposing players, explorers must team up to complete objectives, improve their gear, weapons, and tools, and ensure the survival of the human race.”

As stated in the description, and from what can be gathered in the above trailer, Scavengers is going to bring people together to work as a unit. In fact, that is what the studio is all about. Midwinter Entertainment is “an independent development studio founded by game industry veterans with the mission of creating meaningful connections through experiences that demand teamwork,” the video’s description also reads.

Scavengers has no release date as of yet, but fans can sign up for the playtest, which is set to begin in 2019, right here. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
