PlayStation Board Game Announced As April Fool’s Day Joke – “So Many Dice!”

PlayStation Board Game

The beginning of one particular month brings forth a plethora of Loki-inspired tricksters. We are, of course, referring to April 1st, otherwise known as April Fool’s Day. Lies and deceit lie beyond every corner, and this is especially true in the day and age of the internet. Thankfully, some companies like to join in on the fun with mock-ups of fake and absurd products. This is definitely the case with the PlayStation board game, appropriately titled “PlayStation: The Board Game.”

With a bounty of details that include non-4K resolution, “intense local multiplayer,” and “so many dice!” The announcement came in the form of a Facebook post from the PlayStation Asia account. With the fairly obvious look of an April Fool’s Day joke, the board game looks promising. Of course, it would likely be a disaster playing it, but we can all dream. Here’s what is included:

“Ever wished your PlayStation gaming experience was a little less digital and a whole lot more analog?

With all new non-animated graphics and zero AI, PlayStation: The Board Game will let you experience the mild thrills of moving game pieces on cardboard. Who needs a headset when you can just shout angrily at your friends across the table?

PlayStation: The Board Game features:

– A non-4K resolution gameboard
– Pens and paper to draw your own trophies
– Rulebooks. Six of them, in fact!
– Intense local multiplayer action for up to 4 players
– Large and small dice. So many dice!

Look out for PlayStation: The Board Game: The Video Game coming soon!”

We see you, Sony. Even though the PlayStation board game isn’t real, that shouldn’t stop gamers from taking things to tabletops around the world.
