Mysterious Title ‘P7’ by Remedy Games Finds a Publisher, New Details Emerge

505 Games, a subsidiary of Digital Bros entertainment company, has claimed 20 year rights as publisher for the next IP within Remedy Entertainment with 7.75 million euros in funding and investments. The latter has been placed on the radar and recognized by triple A titles such as Alan Wake, May Payne, and Quantum Break. Not only is the next big project a long-term agreement, but it is anticipated to release for all major platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Codenamed “Project 7 (P7)”, the intellectual property is described as a “cinematic third person action game set in a new Remedy-created universe.”

According to the official Remedy Games website, P7 will highlight the “deepest game mechanics” to be created yet and will be built on the foundation of their own personal Northlight engine. Tero Virtala, CEO of Remedy Entertainment, stated that the mysterious project has a clear path of progress and the partnership between these particular stakeholders will see to its success.

Furthermore, Digital Bros CEO Raffaele Galante is confident in the developing studios direction. “Our mutual life-stages, ambitions and business objectives are actually very well-aligned and we are excited to enter into what feels like a very natural partnership,” he said. “The agreement fits perfectly with our strategy of continuous improvement of the quality and the potential returns of our portfolio.”

No details have been revealed as to the content of the Project 7 aside from the fact that it will be a third person, story-telling action title. More information will be disclosed in due time.
