The OG Xbox Is Back With This Xbox One X Skin
Even in an age awaiting the advent of next generation consoles, Microsoft’s original Xbox still manages to be a favorite among classic gaming enthusiasts. The system’s undying popularity is largely attributed to its memorable appearance and undoubtedly solid lineup of games, many of which live on as part of the Backward Compatibility program on Xbox One.
The nostalgic look of the classic Xbox is now available in the form of a nifty skin, one user on Reddit showing off their newly retro-fied Xbox One X following the recent holiday season. The premium platform now sports the sleek black color scheme of the original, complete with the console’s circular green logo.

The skin itself is of an officially licenced variety from Controller Gear, providing a series of detailed decals to replicate the appearance of original Xbox for the modern One X hardware. The fresh console cosmetic is currently available on Amazon via this link.
Of course, this is only one recent piece of throwback merchandise to gain traction with fans, as Hyperkin’s stellar recreation of the Xbox “Duke” controller also eventfully hit the scene in recent months. Utilizing both the old-school skin and controller seems like it would be a match made in heaven, so those interested in the Duke 2.0 can check out our previous coverage or the product’s listing via Amazon.
