New Styx: Shards of Darkness Trailer Highlights Stealth and Magic (VIDEO)
The sequel to Focus Entertainment and Cyanide Studio‘s Styx: Master of Shadows, tiled, Styx: Shards of Darkness is still a few months away, but the studio has released a new gameplay trailer. The trailer highlights some of the main protagonist’s abilities in stealth and magic for the upcoming sequel.
In the trailer, we get to see the Goblin, Styx, show off some of his stealthy tactics. First we see him go invisible to sneak by somw unsuspecting patrol guards. As Styx makes his way up to the roof he creates a clone of himself on another ledge. The clone is made to provide an easy distraction for the guards so he can go in for an easy kill. After taking out his target, the Goblin jumps down behind two more guards. He follows them for a short bit and places a trap in their path. After a quick whistle, the stealthy assassin hides under a cart as the guards turn and run in his direction, activating his well placed trap, followed by his humorous line:
“Smoking’s bad for you. Real bad.”
In the next clip we see our “hero” land multiple kills in an almost seamless manner. Jumping from a ledge, Styx swings from a rope and attacks his enemy below. After the quick execution, he jumps over the banister to sneak along to his next target. He deals with his next victim by simply throwing him over the ledge, then proclaims, ” Ouch. That’s gonna leave a mark.” The next sequence of events is better left to see for yourself, check out the trailer below:
