New Blade Runner 2049 Footage Emerges With New Video – Watch Here! (VIDEO)
As the famed Sci-fi cult classic Blade Runner comes up on its 35th anniversary here shortly, there are a lot of eyes on the highly anticipated sequel starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford. Blade Runner 2049 will be dropping in theaters this October and to celebrate, a new video of the upcoming thriller shows footage not yet seen in the previous trailers. And if that wasn’t enough to entice you, the footage also contains interviews with some of the stars as well as the director and producer for the film (the original video was very small, please use the enlarge icon to enjoy the footage to the fullest).
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard, a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.”
The team involved with the sequel also had a few words about what it was like working on this project, and veteran Harrison Ford talked a little bit about how it felt to go back to a familiar character:
I think it’s kind of fun to play a character 30 years later. The story, the themes, the stunning visual environments – it was a pleasure to get back in the world of Blade Runner again. I’m used to trying on old clothes (he adds with a smirk). Happily, they fit.”
“It’s good to be home,” says Scott, executive producer for Blade Runner 2049. Though the plot may be heavily guarded, the overall fan reaction at the first trailer was overwhelmingly positive. The film’s cast includes Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Mackenzie Davis, Ana de Armas, Barkhad Abdi, and Sylvia Hoeks.
