Gears of War Creator’s ‘LawBreakers’ Closed Beta Arriving This Month (VIDEO)

LawBreakers

LawBreakers has been on the radar of many for quite some time. The fast-paced, gravity-defying FPS from Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski’s new studio, Boss Key Productions, is on the rise after it’s alpha stage last year. Thankfully, 2017 is bringing progress to the table in the form of a closed beta for the upcoming game. After last summer, Boss Key has listened to players that got a chance to enjoy the title, and they have implemented the changes thought to bring out the best in LawBreakers.

In a video posted to the game’s official YouTube channel, Bleszinski and studio communications manager Rohan Rivas give updates on what’s been happening in the studio and what is to come moving forward. They mention how Boss Key will be at PAX East in Boston this week and fans will be able to swing by their booth to get a chance to play the updated version of LawBreakers. This includes new characters, weapons, maps, and possibly a (hinted at in the video) healer-type role. Essentially, if you were able to play the title at PAX Prime or PAX East last year, you might not be walking into the same game this year. Check out the video below:

Also, if you are able to make it to PAX East later this week, you’ll be able to check out the Action After Alpha: LawBreakers‘ Road to Beta panel on March 10 at 9 PM EST. It will be held at the Bumblebee Theater. During the panel, the team will be showing fans how feedback has been implemented in the game. Bleszinski even says he’ll give everyone fist-bumps and chat in the hallway with fans after the panel.

The LawBreakers closed beta will run from March 16th to the 19th, and you can sign up for it right here. No official word on when the game will be released, but with the launch of the beta phase, it’s only a matter of time now until we get the real deal. The title will be coming to PC via Steam, is being developed by Boss Key Productions, and will be published by Nexon. You can check out the trailer shown at The Game Awards back in December down below:
