Complete Horizon Zero Dawn World Map Revealed, Unveiling Key Regions and Locations

Horizon Zero Dawn World

Aside from BioWare’s highly anticipated Mass Effect: Andromeda, Guerrilla Games’ PlayStation 4 exclusive HZD has to be next in line for high expectations. The Horizon Zero Dawn world map has been fully revealed, unveiling key regions and areas to be explored in the upcoming game. Thanks to GameRevolution from the NeoGAF forums, you can check it out for yourself. Take a look below:

The four main regions seem to be Mother’s Heart (blue), Meridian (yellow), Pitch Cliff (green), and Sunfall (red). Based on video evidence released by PlayStation and Guerrilla Games, one can assume that these are areas ruled by certain tribes. Conversely, Aloy is part of the Nora tribe, indicated with blue paint and markings on their body. So, it may be that tribes within that region must clearly display their area with the corresponding color. Based on the image alone, this is the list of key areas within each region:

Mother’s Heart

  • Bank Encampment
  • Dawn’s Sentinel
  • Hunter’s Gathering
  • Mother’s Crown
  • Mother’s Cradle
  • Mother’s Rise
  • Mother’s Water

  • Brightmarket
  • Day’s Height
  • Day Tower
  • The Estate
  • Lone Light
  • Morning’s Watch
  • Meridian Village
  • Royal Meizlands
  • Sunstone Rock

  • Blazon Arch

Pitch Cliff

  • Free Heap
  • Unflinching Watch

Horizon Zero Dawn World

The world of Horizon Zero Dawn may look quite large from this perspective, but your outlook may change during in-game travel. It’s quite possible that the map is as large as it looks! Hopefully, the developers at Guerrilla Games will reveal why Sunfall and Pitch Cliff seem so bare. This may be revealed within the main story, or DLCs and later additions may make its way to the core game. Of course, this is all personal speculation.

What do you think of the map? Were you able to play the demo and get a feel for yourself? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below, we would love to hear from you. Don’t forget to follow Don’t Feed the Gamers on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on the latest gaming news.
