Gears POP! is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated mobile games of the year. Fans of Gears of War and Funko POP! have a lot to be excited about, as the PVP multiplayer game seems to take a lot of what folks loved from games like Clash Royale and implemented it with a unique Gears of War spin. Fans have been wanting to know when they can finally get their hands on the new mobile game, and it doesn’t look like they’ll have to wait for very long. On the explosive Monday edition of Inside Xbox, it was revealed that Gears Pop will be coming today! You can see Wario64’s tweet below showing the announcement.

Players build their own custom team of characters made up from both the COGs and Locust Horde. General RAAM, Marcus Fenix, Dom Fenix, Boomers, and even the various Carmine brothers. The gameplay is very similar looking to Clash Royale involving sending units to claim cover on the battlefield. Taking control of cover points will allow you to spawn new units at the cover point. You can also take cover away from the bonus team if your unit is able to overpower them. The main base at the center has two turrets and is what each player will be looking to capture. Gears of War fans can also look forward to the XCOM-inspired Gears Tactics.

Gears POP! will be available starting today on iOS and Android devices.
