Final Fantasy XV Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Crossover Event Announced

Final Fantasy XV Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Many gamers share the opinion that the latest iterations of the Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider series made by Square Enix were excellently crafted. Both franchises had some less than stellar games in the past, but many believe that Final Fantasy XV and the rebooted Tomb Raider games made the right narrative and gameplay choices that improved fan outlook on both series greatly. Now, it seems like Square Enix is ready to celebrate both of these victories in a spectacular way. They have done this by announcing a new Final Fantasy XV Shadow of the Tomb Raider crossover event.

Square Enix recently held a panel at PAX East discussing Final Fantasy XV and their plans for the future of the game. Among other announcements, Square Enix revealed that Noctis and friends would indeed be crossing over with Lara Croft in the future. A simple image announcing this was all that was given, but it was enough to send the crowd into a frenzy. No information about how exactly the two universes would cross over, or even when the event will take place, but it is very possible that this could occur closer to the launch of Shadow of the Tomb Raider itself to promote the game.

This wouldn’t be the first crossover event for Final Fantasy XV, as it has hosted similar content from Assassin’s Creed and Half Life in the past. In fact, Lara Croft already stepped into the Final Fantasy world recently in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius on mobile. Still, this will certainly be an entertaining crossover to witness. Maybe Lara will help Noctis search dungeons and try one of Ignis’ new recipes? What do you guys think about this Final Fantasy XV Shadow of the Tomb Raider crossover?
