Bethesda Announces The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind (VIDEO)
Yesterday, Bethesda announced a live-stream event taking place today, in regards to Elder Scrolls Online. “Discover the Next Chapter” headlines the announcement on their blog, with vague phrasing that purposefully built expectations. So much so, that fans around the world gathered on the Twitch channels a fair hour before 11am PST, at the very least.
Based on the poster’s background image, speculation concerning the Red Mountain as the next chapter for Elder Scrolls Online were high. Many were absolutely right, but there was much more to it than that. During the livestream, Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind. Thankfully, the livestream was introduced with a cinematic trailer.
Over ten thousand inquiring minds watched the livestream on Twitch. In case you missed it, you can see it for yourself, below!
For long time fans of the Elder Scrolls franchise, Bethesda is indeed bringing Morrowind back. Don’t fear, for those unfamiliar with the story, there is a tutorial that introduces you to all that. That’s not all, either. Plenty of additions will be coming to the next chapter, including a new class called the Warden – a class more focused around nature type magic. Of course, there are various ways you can utilize them – whether it is ice and defensive magic, or nature and healing.
In the trailer above, you see a bear demolishing enemies left and right. Fortunately for players of the upcoming Warden, the bear is an ultimate. Unlike some ultimate skills, the summoned companion will stay by your side until it perishes in combat. That means, even if you fast travel, the bear will come with you. Even when it dies, the companion will automatically re-summon. Cliff Racers are back as well!
Characters from Morrowind will be making appearances to the expansion. Naryu will be the main face of the storyline, and players will get a chance to meet Vivec. However, keep in mind that this takes place 700 years in the past, so Vivec City is still under construction. For PvP players of ESO, Battlegrounds will come to Vvardenfell. It is a three-sided battle with four players on each time, taking place in a quarry in Red Mountain.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind debuts June 6th, 2017. Stay tuned with Don’t Feed the Gamers for more details on the Collector’s Edition, and more!
