Darksiders Warmastered Edition Hits Nintendo Switch In April (VIDEO)
As the Nintendo Switch continues to prove its popularity among gamers, oodles of titles will continue to flock to the hybrid system. These have growingly included the likes of particularly mature experiences such as Dark Souls and Diablo III, and it now looks like we can expect the Darksiders series to be the next to make the jump.
Announced with a new trailer, THQ Nordic‘s apocalyptic remaster of the first Darksiders game, Darksiders Warmastered Edition, is currently headed to the Nintendo Switch. Following versions already available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Big N’s latest console is set to debut the hack-and-slasher on April 2nd. Check out the trailer and announcement from THQ Nordic below.
Ruin is ready to stomp on earth again, when WAR, devastating and disputed hero of Darksiders Warmastered Edition starts the Apocalypse on Nintendo Switch™. You wonder when? April 2nd is the planned release date for the End of the World as we know it. A world without Darksiders on Nintendo Switch™.
Darksiders Warmastered Edition previously appeared on a Nintendo console in 2017 when it released for the Wii U. The sequel Darksiders II was also among the last-gen lineup, managing to be a launch title for the short-lived console. It was the series’ 2018 third outing which broke the streak and didn’t release for either the Wii U or Nintendo Switch.
Perhaps the addition of Darksiders Warmastered Edition could hint at the rest of the trilogy potentially appearing on the system. The idea wouldn’t be much of a stretch considering the amount of THQ Nordic titles that have already hit the system so far. However, it’s still nice to have the original Darksiders on the way and all of its remastered glory.
