Cyberpunk 2077 Players Might Be Going To The Moon, According To Reports

Cyberpunk 2077

There are a handful of titles that are currently in that weird hype train limbo phase, where people are excited, but still don’t quite understand what’s happening. One game that perfectly fits this mold is Death Stranding. We’ve seen plenty of videos and know that a bounty of fantastic actors are aboard, but it’s hard to pinpoint what the game is actually about. Another title that appears to enjoy being shrouded in mystery is CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077, and if the latest details are true, we have yet another reason to be pumped for the upcoming sci-fi RPG – the moon.

We’ve recently covered some rather interesting reports that stated first-person shooter elements will be found in Cyberpunk 2077. The leak was originally reported by GamePressure, and while the it talked about FPS aspects and whatnot, it also said that players could find themselves on the moon. Pulling inspiration from great titles such as Prey, System Shock, and the Deus Ex franchise, it definitely seems that gamers are in for a real treat.

Cyberpunk 2077

The moon could be a very interesting setting for the upcoming game, but we don’t know the amount of time we’ll be spending on the giant space rock. Plus, with this being reported in a leak, all information should be taken with a heap of salt. It was also stated that Cyberpunk 2077 will see some themes that are reminiscent of the Titanfall series.

We don’t know when Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to be released, but CD Projekt RED will be at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. They are reported to be bringing a full trailer and playable demo with them, but we won’t know until that takes place in June. Either way, here’s to hoping we see a bit of action on the moon.
