Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Support Won’t Be Available At Launch

Cyberpunk 2077 Mods

Many fans are hoping to learn more information about CD Projekt RED’s upcoming futuristic RPG at this year’s E3, and with the even only being two weeks away, excitement is growing. That said, the devs have recently been disclosing some details regarding Cyberpunk 2077, including the fact that mod support will not be available at launch.

Over on the official CD Projekt RED forums, fans were discussing mod support for Cyberpunk 2077 when global community lead Marcin Momot chimed in to offer a bit of clarification. “I wanted to elaborate on this topic and on that answer in particular,” he said. “We have no plans to share at the moment. Obviously, we would love to support the modding community in the future, but for the time being we want to focus on releasing the game first. Hopefully, this clears things up a bit.”

It may not be what fans were hoping to hear regarding Cyberpunk 2077 supporting mods, but that’s just the way it has to be for now. Of course, Momot does not explicitly state that mods won’t be supported in the upcoming title, so there is definitely a chance that we will see it added after the game arrives. Unfortunately, we just have to wait until launch to find out.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. No concrete release date has been revealed yet, but we can only hope that changes in a couple weeks.
