This Custom Joel Figure is Making Every Last One of Us Want One

Custom Joel Figure

If you happen to be a fan of things of a collectible nature, you may be in the right place. While you won’t be able to purchase the custom Joel figure shown below, you’ll be able to appreciate it for the beauty it contains in abundance. That is, of course, if you’ve played 2013’s smash hit The Last of Us. The action-adventure survival game was released for PlayStation 3, and it was met universal praise for its story, character development, sound and video design, and just about everything in between. Needless to say, people absolutely love the game, and they are the same ones who are not-so-patiently awaiting the sequel that is currently in development for the PlayStation 4.

Those waiting for the highly anticipated follow-up may scream when they see this custom Joel figure because it will only intensify any need for the game. Assembled by Instagram user Chubbyman, this one-of-a-kind collectible features a plethora of parts that were modified by various artists he has collaborated with. Oh, and it is also signed by Troy Baker. No big deal. Take a look for yourself below, but be warned that jealousy may set in at any given moment:

Recently, Chubbyman uploaded 50 figures over 50 days to his Instagram account, with day 51 containing a bonus for fans. That’s when he revealed the custom Joel figure, making everyone that has played The Last of Us green with envy. However, this isn’t the only Naughty Dog protagonist the collector added during the series. Nathan Drake from the beloved Uncharted franchise also made an appearance. Speaking of that particular set of games, The Lost Legacy is the reason as to why Joel and Ellie didn’t appear at E3 back in June. Thanks, Chloe and Nadine.

The Last of Us Part II is currently in development and could potentially be looking at a 2018 release. This would make sense considering the sequel is set to take place five years after the events of the first installment. Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson will return to play Joel and Ellie, Neil Druckmann and Haley Gross are writing, but Bruce Straley will not be coming back to co-direct.
