First ‘Cult of Chucky’ Trailer Shows the Homicidal Doll is Back With a Vengeance (VIDEO)

The franchise that inspired fear of dolls into the hearts of many is back as a full trailer has just announced the return of the homicidal toy in question in ‘Cult of Chucky’. Bright side? The spooky factor goes down a little bit, as this release will not see theaters. That means every light in the house is in your control for your viewing comfort. Nica returns, this time she finds herself in an insane asylum convinced that she is responsible for her family’s murder – even though the culprit is the infamous Chucky himself.

When Nica’s psychiatrist introduces a new therapeutic ‘tool’ to facilitate his patients’ group sessions, an all-too-familiar ‘Good Guy’ doll with an innocently smiling face, a string of grisly deaths begins to plague the asylum and Nica starts to wonder if maybe she isn’t crazy after all.”

The original writer for Chucky returns to helm this project, Don Mancini with Brad Dourif as Chucky. The Cult of Chucky releases officially on October 3rd just in time for the Halloween season.
