New Game Available for Free Download for Twitch/Amazon Prime Members
Once again, another game is now free and available for download to those who are Amazon Prime members and attached the account to their Twitch. Created and developed by Cardboard Computer, Kentucky Ground Zero has received high praise since its public conception in 2012. Only in more recent years has it achieved the deserved recognition for the brilliant story-telling. The focus was on enveloping the player in the game’s atmosphere as a point and click adventure game. The title is made up of series of episodes much like the popular Telltale franchise or Square Enix’s Life is Strange. So far, four episodes have been released. Here’s a snippet from the title’s official website:
Kentucky Route Zero is a magical realist adventure game about a secret highway in the caves beneath Kentucky, and the mysterious folks who travel it. Gameplay is inspired by point-and-click adventure games (like the classic Monkey Island or King’s Quest series, or more recently Telltale’s Walking Dead series), but focused on characterization, atmosphere and storytelling rather than clever puzzles or challenges of skill.
The player takes the form of an antique furniture delivery man, Conway, on his way to make the last delivery. In doing so, Conway meets interesting characters and people who may help him on his quest. Although modest in description, it has certainly garnered positive attention for a reason, leaving most of the details within the game itself for you to find out. In order to access Kentucky Route Zero, Twitch account holders must be active Amazon Prime members. For those with the latter, all you have to do is follow the directions here. If you already have the two connected, just click on the link here to access the game’s Twitch page while logged in.
