Fallout 76 Bug Makes Player Invulnerable To Nukes And Other Damage
What do you do when your character in a video game can’t die? Some may use their newfound invincibility to fuel a destructive machine hellbent on chaos, but one Fallout 76 player is just trying to do the only thing they can’t.
One (un)lucky person to be traversing the West Virginia wasteland in Bethesda’s recently released adventure encountered a bug during their travels. The result: unlimited power. Well, it’s more along the lines of invincibility, but you get the idea. “My character currently is unkillable, and I mean… really unkillable,” Brogadyn said in their post on Reddit. “She can even eat a nuke blast to the face and be fine. There is literally zero ways that she can die even if I wanted her to (which I very much do at this point).”
They were even kind enough to provide a few examples of their unwanted ability. Check them out for yourself in the gallery below:
The player contacted Bethesda about the issue with the hope that they would be able to take down the character, but the exchange was less than satisfactory. “I’ve had to limit myself to more boring activities because I do not want my exploration, or the PvP aspect ruined by my godmode, and the annoying thing is that at some point i’m just going to have to not care if they cannot fix it,” the Fallout 76 player continued.
“My character is currently nearly level 100, and just hit the cap limit – so what the heck am I supposed to do besides actually starting to make all content in the game trivial? I’m really frustrated and I have no idea what i’m supposed to do – it seems that they can’t even slay my character for me, or at least didn’t mention that even though that’s practically what was I begging for in the ticket – but i’m unsure if it was a person replying, or simply some automated answer.”
We certainly understand the player’s frustration and hope that they are able to meet their demise in the near future. Fallout 76 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
