Apex Legends Season 2 Details Revealed, Including New Game Mode, Weapon, And More (VIDEO)
Apex Legends is about to kick off the highly-anticipated Season 2 on July 2nd, which will be bringing a plethora of goodies for players to enjoy. We’ve already seen the likes of Wattson, the game’s new Legend, detailed, but now let’s get down to all of the other aspects that will be new.
For starters, a new weapon is inbound. The L-Star is a submachine gun that originally appeared in the Titanfall series as a light machine gun. Due to the weapon being an absolute unit of destruction, however, it will be exclusive to care packages. While it is unfortunate that it won’t be available out in the wild, it’s still exciting to see the gun once again.
As for the new game mode, a Ranked mode is finally inbound for Apex Legends players. Throughout the season, players will have the opportunity to pick up some sweet loot in the form of rewards based on the where they rank. The ranks themselves range from bronze to Apex Predator, which is probably the coolest name for a rank ever.
In addition to all of this goodness, the Season 2 Battle Pass itself will be challenge based. This means that players will essentially be able to level up a lot quicker than they could throughout Season 1. Plus, during the Apex segment at EA Play, Respawn did confirm that there are a bounty of skins coming to the game, which are sure to be better than what has been obtainable in the past. This should definitely get fans excited.
Apex Legends is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
