World War Z’s Latest Trailer Is Giving Us Major Left 4 Dead Vibes (VIDEO)
Many fans of the survival horror/zombie genre are getting pumped for Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive’s upcoming World War Z. Based on the popular book and film of the same name, the game will provide players with a co-op experience that leads to the decimation of a bounty of the undead.
That said, the latest World War Z trailer to arrive has us feeling some serious Left 4 Dead vibes. Sure, we likely won’t be seeing a third installment in the popular franchise from Valve, but maybe the upcoming title could offer up a spiritual successor of sorts. Named “The Horde,” the trailer puts all of the zombie slaying action on full display, with the undead piling over one another in wild fashion. Check it out for yourself below:
For those not in the know, here’s more on the upcoming World War Z game:
“World War Z is a thrilling four-player cooperative third-person shooter featuring massive swarms of zombies that recklessly rush their living prey. Focused on fast-paced gameplay — and based on the incredibly popular Paramount Pictures property of the same name — World War Z explores new storylines and characters from around the world in tense, overwhelming, gruesomely exciting missions crafted specifically for modern consoles and PC.
“The swarm feels neither fear nor mercy. It rolls forward to spread and consume. Together, make your stand and unload an arsenal of deadly weaponry into these hundreds of swarming zombies. Feel the satisfying rush of life as you cheat death and prevail against such overwhelming odds. Cut the undead down with rocket launchers, machine guns, sentries, turrets, grenade launchers, barbed wire, and more.”
World War Z has no release date as of now, but it is expected to launch at some point in 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
