A new announcement from Focus Home Interactive and DONTNOD has revealed a new four-part series that will showcase of the latest RPG is being made. The series, dubbed “DONTNOD Presents Vampyr” will unveil progress and features of the game, mixing interviews with game footage. Short, but sweet, the Vampyr web series teaser released with the announcement gives fans a glimpse at what to expect from both the game and the coming videos.

Each episode of the series will run five minutes, featuring never before seen footage from the game. Burning questions will be answered and those on the fence about getting a copy of the game can catch a peek at what may or may not make the purchase worthwhile. In the Vampyr web series teaser, the Narrative Director, Stephane Beauverger, discusses the role players will have in the game. As a newly turned vampire in early 20th century London, it is up to the player to decide if and upon whom they might feed. Players will encounter many types of people and face difficult moral decisions as the city recovers from a recent outbreak of the Spanish flu.

The game will feature customizable combat styles with a range of weapons and abilities to use against unique enemies. According to the Vampyr web series teaser, the developers want players to weigh the fact that they may take a human life. DONTNOD has been revered for their decision based, narrative-driven games and it would appear that Vampyr will be on par with this style of gaming. The first episode “Making Monsters” will release on January 18th.
