Stalker 2 Reveals Ominous In-Engine Gameplay Trailer (VIDEO)
The development of Stalker 2 has been rather interesting as GSC Game World originally announced the sequel 10 years ago, only to cancel it two years later. Earlier this year, however, the Ukrainian developer revealed a brand new trailer to let fans know the game is being made. That said, they’ve now revealed a new in-engine gameplay trailer and it looks beyond ominous.
Taking to the official GSC Game World YouTube account, the developers released a short gameplay teaser for fans to enjoy. Titled “Skif,” the trailer takes fans through various portions of the game, showing off its beautiful and ominous setting, something many would expect from Stalker 2. Check it out for yourself in the video below:
While the first Stalker 2 trailer was meant to show players the environment of the game, the new video is to give fans an idea of what it will feel like to play the upcoming title. “That’s how the game actually feels: fast-paced change of scenery, ominous landscapes and the ever-present feeling of an inevitable danger accompanied by a barely-distinguishable guitar soundtrack,” says GSC Game World.
“You’re seeing this world with the eyes of a stalker named Skif — remember the codename, you will hear it a lot. Following the steps of its predecessors, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 introduces a completely new main protagonist. His actions will shape the new grand chapter in the history of the Zone.”
Stalker 2 is currently in development and expected to arrive at some point in 2021 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
