There’s no denying that Insomniac Games’ upcoming Spider-Man based adventure is creating a hype train unlike any other. Superhero video games are rarely incredible, but it is certainly looking like the upcoming title is on track for greatness. While we don’t know every little detail about the game, we have been clued in on some glorious information, including the release date, various editions, and so much more. However, one thing remains a mystery – will we be seeing a Spider-Man PS4 Venom appearance?

During a recent episode of the Game Informer show, we can hear the guys talk about the baddies they would like to face in the upcoming title. They mention Creative Director Brian Intihar, who was asked whether or not the symbiote would join in on the fun. To this, Intihar deflected the question by stating that Venom was cool. No confirmation, but also no denial. Now gamers are left in a Spider-Man PS4 Venom limbo. In any case, you can check out that discussion in the video below:

It is also worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time Intihar has pulled this sort of thing. During a recent Q&A session between Game Informer and the creative director, villains are brought up, with him being questioned which ones will make the cut. A massive list is provided, with many of them being a joke, but Intihar pauses when both Doc Ock and Sandman are mentioned. When Venom is brought up, all he had to say was “Venom is a really cool character.” As for the most villainous baddie of all, microtransactions, and whether or not they would appear in the game, Intihar had only one thing to say – “hell no!”

There you have it. We still don’t know if a Spider-Man PS4 Venom appearance will be happening, but fans can only dream. Spider-Man is set to arrive on September 7, 2018 for the PlayStation 4.
