Space Hulk: Deathwing Has a New 17 Minute Trailer (VIDEO)
The Warhammer 40K series is getting another video game release, and with the announcement, players have been treated to a substantial game play trailer that colors this oppressive world quite nicely. Based off the Games Workshop table-top experience by the same name, Space Hulk: Deathwing is coming on December 9th for PC, and the mini play through video is just what we need to get excited for this new title.
The footage looks pretty intense, as Streum On Studio promises to deliver a visceral and, honestly, terrifying first-person-shooter for their fans. From this first look at early gameplay, the battle is entirely based inside an infested Space Hulk, with Genestealers and other recognizable enemies coming at the player from all sides. The only downside we can find is that the in-game ambient banter of the characters is somewhat repetitive, though we can only hope that this flaw will be fixed up in time for the game’s launch. Other than that, the experience looks rather terrifying, and well worth the time if you are a fan of this dark and gritty war story.
So far, we don’t have a set release date for the console version of Space Hulk: Deathwing, though we do know that the developers plan on releasing that version sometime in 2017. Here’s hoping it’s sooner rather than later. One nice thing you can expect in the meantime, is that if you preorder the PC version, you get an automatic 15% discount off of Beta access, so crack out those wallets if you want to get in on that perk for yourselves.
This latest title isn’t the only Warhammer game on the horizon. Just recently, Fatshark has announced a VR experience for die-hard fans of the Warhammer Fantasy realm and while you won’t exactly be fighting for the glory of the Emperor, it’s still a pretty awesome way to get immersed in the experience.
Space Hulk: Deathwing is coming soon. Will you pit yourselves against the horrors of the Universe in the name of the Emperor? Give us a shout out in the comments below, and game on!
