Need for Speed: Payback

One of the most infamous racing game franchises is back, and looks to be a white-knuckle, high-octane, turbo-boosted joy ride. EA and Ghost Games confirmed a while back that a new Need for Speed game was on the horizon, and now it has an official title, trailer, and release date. Check out the trailer for Need for Speed: Payback below:

As confirmed before, Need for Speed: Payback will have a solo-player campaign as well as online multiplayer. The solo campaign is described on the official website as:

Need for Speed Payback has a single player campaign that follows the exploits of former street racer Tyler Morgan. After being double-crossed and forced into exile, it’s time for Payback. Tyler must rebuild his crew, win an impossible race and bring down The House, the cartel that has a grip over the city’s casinos, criminals and cops.

It’s not going to be easy though. Tyler and the crew will find themselves in the middle of some of the most action-packed, explosive events in Need for Speed history.

Fans of the long-running franchise can experience the latest entry on November 10, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Subscribers to EA Access and/or Origin Access will be able to play on November 2nd via Play First Trial. Those that purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game will be able to play as early as November 7. Pre-ordering Payback will reward players with the Platinum Car Pack which will include five in-game vehicles fully customized and tuned to gain an advantage on the streets. Platinum Car Pack vehicles include a Nissan 350Z, Chevy Camaro SS, Ford F-150 Raptor, and Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport.
