It’s been a while since we got a new Darksiders game, but it looks like the wait for the newest entry in the series following the exploits of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.  Darksiders III will be dropping on November 27th, this year putting players in the role of Fury.  She’s the first female protagonist in the series and is equipped with fiery chain whips and various forms that give her different weapons and capabilities in combat.

We were treated to a first look at one of the game’s boss fights today thanks to our friends at IGN. Check out one of the seven deadly sins: Wrath.

Fury will be hunting down the rest of the seven deadly sins as boss fights over the course of the game, I definitely want to see what Lust and Gluttony look like in the Darksiders art style.  The game looks absolutely glorious and retains the decaying urban aesthetic from the first game, as it takes place in Earth after the apocalypse.  For those following the lore, this story will take place concurrently with the events of the first two games and will follow Fury as she hunts down the Sins as ordered by the Charred Council.

We’ll see the return of characters such as Vulgrim as the game’s merchant and Ulthane who forged the Armageddon Blade used to destroy the Seven Seals.

Other than that we aren’t sure how much crossover from the first two games we’ll see in this third installment of the series, but hopefully, we get some more closure on that cliffhanger ending in the first Darksiders.  It’s been 8 years Vigil, I want to see an Avengers-style team up with all the Horsemen!
