We live in a time where well known (and loved) video games turn into movies, some better than others. Well the same is true for the visually pleasing and Tim Burtonesque game by the name of Don’t Starve which was released by Klei Entertainment (Crypt of the Necrodancer, Mark of the Ninja) in April of 2013. The twist, it’s not a full funded motion picture coming to the big screen like Assassin’s Creed or Mortal Kombat (yes, I went there). However, it did get some live action love from a team of artists at Cinesaurus.

The trailer quickly identifies some of the famed Don’t Starve characters, such a Wilson, Wendy and Wickerbottom as well as Woody and the Magician just to name a few. The trailer itself runs about six minutes and addresses some of the lore and character flaws, keeping it perfectly in sync with the animated survival game. Check it out below:

The video has 53k plus views in just about 3 days, and the comments are super positive from fans. They we’re able to recreate aesthetically pleasing CGI effects to really accentuate the weird wide world of Don’t Starve.

Don’t Starve added a multiplayer aspect in by releasing Don’t Starve Together in April of this year,  as well as two expansion packs by the name of Realm of The Giants and Shipwrecked. Both are available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
