Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of the most anticipated releases of the year, and players won’t have to wait too much longer to play it! The game will be releasing on October 25th and while players have been dazzled by exciting trailers and gameplay betas, some PC players were dying for info regarding the game’s hardware specifications. Luckily Activision Games blog published an update, which included a rather shocking revelation.

According to the blog post, the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will take up a massive 175 GB of hard drive space. This is definitely one of the biggest games in terms of sheer download size that has ever been seen on PC, and it may be similarly large on console. The amount of gigs seems justified though as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is an absolutely stunning game with high-fidelity textures, lighting effects, and other graphically demanding content.

Players looking to have a rig that will run Modern Warfare at a “Competitive” level will have to put up big bucks for a dream machine. That said, if the trailers are anything to go off of it will all be worth it.
