Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Rating Confirms Drugs, Sex, And Much More

Assassin's Creed Valhalla ESRB Rating

The Assassin’s Creed franchise has always provided players with violent romance-filled shenanigans, and it looks like the upcoming installment will continue down a similar road. The rating for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been revealed, and it promises fans that they can expect drugs, sex, and more.

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) recently published the rating for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and to the surprise of absolutely nobody, it is rated M for Mature. The setting itself would have likely tipped fans off to the mature rating as it is set in ninth century England and there are Vikings. The rating itself touches on the blood and gore that are featured in the game, the violent combat, sexy times with nudity, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and much more.

“Some weapons allow players to decapitate enemies; zoomed-in sequences depict victims’ bones, organs, and muscles getting damaged by players’ blade,” reads the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla rating. “The game contains some sexual material: a mission taking place in a brothel; topless women straddling men; a character agreeing to “lay with” a man (kissing is depicted before the scene fades to black). A handful of sequences depict screen distortion/discoloration and impaired movements after players’ character consumes mushrooms or inhales mushroom-based fumes (dialogue states, “I may still be buzzing from these mushrooms.”).”

Needless to say, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is going to offer players quite the interesting experience when it arrives on November 17th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Next-gen versions will be available when the consoles arrive and a free upgrade will be available for those who plan to play on the current generations of consoles.
