Horror game fans are anxiously awaiting the official release of Hello Neighbor on December 8, 2017. In anticipation of the release, and to give gamers an idea of what to expect, two trailers have been released highlighting the all-out creepiness of the game.

The first trailer, the “Pre-Launch Teaser Trailer,” gives an all around view of the game in various snippets. It doesn’t focus too much on actually breaking into the neighbor’s house, but tunes in later on with some of the weirder moments of the game.

The second trailer dials up the creep factor by focusing on the basement and the big mystery. There were no spoilers, but we know that the basement is open-ended and players will be chased constantly. Hint: The neighbor will locate players (or try to) by noise, according to tinyBuild Games.

There are, of course, other methods the neighbor uses to locate the player. This game was marketed as a challenge because the AI learns how best to find and stop the players from breaking in. Players will have to work hard to outwit the neighbor AI and master the stealth-based game to actually get to the ending.

Hello Neighbor has been touted as one of 2017’s most anticipated horror games. It’s going to be fun to find out if it lives up to its hype and reputation.
