Cyberpunk Creator Confirms In-game Appearance in Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 Release

With the gap between now and the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 shrinking by the day, fans who have been anticipating the game are surely getting more and more excited. We already know plenty about the upcoming title, but it was recently revealed that Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith will be making an appearance in the game.

During a recent interview with Official Xbox Magazine (via GamingBolt) in the September 2019 issue, it was confirmed that Pondsmith will be featured in a role in Cyberpunk 2077 in some capacity. “I have a role,” he said. “I actually recorded for one role, but they came up with a different one for me, but I can’t tell you much more than that. And I’m telling you that because there are a lot of fans who are going, ‘He better be in the game somewhere.'”

He then proposed a scenario that involves him jamming with the one and only Johnny Silverhand, who is played by Keanu Reeves. “So I’m in the game. I’m figuring what happens is, you know, at some point, [Johnny Silverhand] is playing his guitar and I’ll come out and play my bass [laughs].” We could only hope to see something as awesome in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077. Either way, we will just have to wait until next year to find out.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be arriving on April 16, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
