Madden NFL 19 Tournament Livestream Ends After Gunshots Fired

It has been reported that gunshots were fired during a recent tournament being held for Madden NFL 19. The event was taking place at the GLHF Game Bar in Jacksonville, FL and being broadcast live on popular streaming platform Twitch.

During the livestream of the eSports tournament, multiple gunshots were heard off-camera. After the two players on stream at the time reacted, the broadcast was abruptly ended. Per the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office:

While details are still coming in, it appears that multiple people have been shot during the event. It’s being reported that at least 10 people have been injured, and four people have been pronounced dead. Complexity Gaming Pro player Drini Gjoka sustained minor injuries, according to the company’s Twitter. Among those shot were players competing in the Madden NFL 19 tournament.

Local authorities are continuing to find people who have hidden for safety located within the area at this time.
