Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding Will Be A “Transformative Online Experience”

Death Stranding

We still don’t know much about Hideo Kojima’s upcoming Death Stranding, despite there being a bounty of information about the title being available. Sure, we’ve seen plenty of trailers, but the mystery only grows with the release of each new one.

That said, we expect that not nowhere near all will be revealed until the game inevitably launches. Until then, we’ll just have to pick apart every trailer and put each word said about the title under the microscope. The latest blurb about Death Stranding actually comes by way of award-winning science fiction and horror author F. Paul Wilson.

As can be seen in the tweet above, Wilson recently sat down with Kojima for dinner while he was in New York City. The author called him a “true visionary” and said that he thinks Death Stranding “will be a transformative online experience.” Our guess is as good as any as to what that actually means.

We know that Death Stranding will seemingly feature a way to connect those who play it, and will likely highlight the need for some collaborative efforts. Much like how the game isn’t exactly meant to be played as a shooter, it also isn’t entirely being marketed as an online title. That said, there’s a good chance Kojima’s project will change the landscape when it officially arrives. Until then, let the mystery continue.

Death Stranding has no release date as of now, but it is currently in development for PlayStation 4. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
