Wonder Woman Goes Mad in New Story Arc – The Truth

Wonder Woman - The Truth

When comics have been around for so long, writers attempt to find new ways to keep things fresh and relevant. As we’ve seen with DC’s Rebirth, characters are getting a bit of a shake up. Take The Button, for example. Batman and The Flash investigate a particularly well-known, blood-stained button. Be it crossovers or alternate realities, you have to be fresh. That’s where the new story arc for Wonder Woman comes in. The Truth is set to show how things aren’t as they seem for the titular character.

Wonder Woman #15 will begin the new story arc, The Truth. Wonder Woman had left her home of Themyscira under the condition that she never return. However, before leaving, she told her mother she intended on coming back, and up until now, she had seemingly done so. According to sources:

Wonder Woman has discovered all the times she’s been home over the years, she’s never actually been there. It’s all been a lie. This knowledge and the possible implications over what her recent visits to the island mean and where she actually might have been has shattered her mind.”

Wonder Woman #15 will be hitting shelves in stores and be available online January 25. It is written by Greg Rucka, with the art being drawn by Liam Sharp, the colors being done by Laura Martin, and the cover being produced by both Martin and Sharp. If you’re still a bit unsure about it, DC offers this description: ““THE TRUTH” part one! Diana has finally seen the full scope of how her life and history have been transformed…unfortunately, the knowledge has driven her completely insane!” Short, sweet, and to the point. We can’t wait to see how this plays out!

What say you, comic book readers? Excited for this new story arc? Think Wonder Woman will overcome? Do you believe she has really been driven insane, or is it all a dream? Let us know down in the comments section! Before you head down there, you should check this out. Guillermo del Toro will be sitting down with Ron Perlman and Mike Mignola to discuss a potential Hellboy 3 film! This immensely pleases us.
