Coming up from publisher Starbreeze Studios the next few months is Raid: World War II, a first-person shooter that aims to take on the familiar concept of armed heists and apply them to a 1940s World War II setting. ‘Raid‘ brings together a band of ragtag misfits with the singular goal of robbing Hitler blind and taking down the Nazi regime. Headed by Payday 2 content developers Lion Game Lion, the game has established a September 26 release date for PC and a PlayStation 4, Xbox One launch shortly thereafter on October 10 in North America and October 13 in Europe.  Game director Ilija Petrusic released a statement alongside the announcement:

The goal in Raid: World War II is simple–sabotage, assassinate and pulverize everything bearing a swastika–mess with Hitler and steal his treasures. With the Nazi regime as the ultimate evil, Raid brings together four unique characters with play styles that complement and enhance each other as they fight and steal across Europe.”

As seen in the trailer above, Raid: World War II will comprise of four colorful characters as they fight and steal their way across Nazi-occupied Europe. Each will arrive with their own customizable classes: Recon, Assault, Insurgent, and Demolitions (or R.A.I.D.). Every class comes with a unique skill tree as well as a special War Cry ability that can buff either a single player or the entire team. Other notable features include custom uniforms and weapons, the inclusion of real-world cities like Berlin, and an Operations Mode where players can replay campaign missions with extended gameplay and new storylines.
