Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare is Now Playable on PlayStation 4

The recent event known as PlayStation Experience 2016 gave us a look into the future of Sony’s video game lineup. While many are excited for the PlayStation 4’s (PS4) games of the future, fans of Rockstar Games‘ Red Dead Redemption (RDD), can now play the game on their PS4 consoles.

Redemption and its standalone expansion, Undead Nightmare, are now available through Sony’s game streaming service, PlayStation Now. The games will be playable on any device that supports PlayStation Now. That means you can play on your PS4, PS3, PC, and/or certain televisions that support PS Now.

RDD has been getting a lot of attention as of late due to Rockstar’s announcement of the upcoming sequel. Xbox One owners have been able to play the game through Xbox’s backwards compatibility. Now everyone can enjoy the the hit Wild West themed game. Undead Nightmare is a standalone expansion so if you can play it without having to play Redemption.

For those unfamiliar with Sony’s PlayStation Now’s services, the format consists of a monthly subscription that allows you to play any of over 450 PlayStation games via streaming them to your devices. The going rate for the subscription is $9.99 a month, but alongside the Red Dead Redemption news, Sony also announced that they are bringing back their 12-month subscription for $99.99. If you’re still not 100% sure if Now is right for you, there is currently a 7-day free trial available. Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare are available now as well as these current trending games:

  • WWE 2K15
  • The Last of Us
  • Beyond: Two Souls
  • Injustice: Gods Among Us
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution
