For gaming fans everywhere, this E3 promises to be a huge hit, with big title announcements and tech reveals taking center stage at this massive gaming event. One such announcement that fans should expect to find, however, is something a little more subtle, but will have a huge impact on the PlayStation gaming community. According to an ad reveal by Target, Sony will be releasing a Gold PlayStation 4 system, a console that looks like it’s going to be a thing of true beauty.

The Target ad was revealed on Twitter by Wario64, and sets the release date for June 11th, just a few short days away. According to the ad, the gold PlayStation 4 will be a 1TB Slim system, and will cost about $250 to purchase.

As of right now, no official announcement has been made by Sony for the release of this system, though it seems that confirmation for this launch has come from a few users on Reddit. Member Sliye confirmed, “I work at Target and it looks like the PS4 gold is coming June 9. [It] shows up on our equipment.”

A second would-be customer also confirmed that this system is due to arrive any day now.  “This Walmart put them out early,” Reddit user Christopher_Maxim said. “[The] register locked up when I tried to buy one and the staff realized their mistake. I snagged a pic before they brought them out back.”

At this point, it only seems like a matter of time until Sony reveals the official launch for this golden system. With these dates seemingly set in stone despite the company’s silence, it makes sense that the system would be launching during E3.
