As everyone knows already, finding a Nintendo console recently has been just a little bit of a challenge. While Nintendo is upping the production of the Switch and struggling with keeping stores stocked with the NES and SNES Classic, one fan took it upon himself to get his own fix. Anyone who has felt the frustration of trying to get their hands on these devices should lay their eyes on this fan made Switch look-alike that plays classic Nintendo games!

The genius behind the fan made Switch is named Tim Lindquist and he set out with the goal to make a “portable gaming system that could also double as a portable computer”. He calls his creation, the NinTIMdo RP, pun pun PUN! The device was made to look very much like the Nintendo Switch and it really does. Check it out in the video below!

This fan made Switch runs on the Raspberry Pi Retropie software, which means that users can emulate their favorite classic games. Lindquist’s plans don’t stop here though, he says that he’d like to have “secret Easter eggs where you can hold certain buttons on boot to enter the CLI or Linux GUI instead of the default emulation software”. We can’t wait to see what else this guy can come up with!
