Devil May Cry 5 and Soul Calibur 6 rumor

Gamers that have been waiting for the next entries in the much-loved Devil May Cry and Soul Calibur series may be in luck! According to a recent post on RedditDevil May Cry 5 and Soul Calibur VI are allegedly being revealed at this year’s PlayStation Experience, which takes place next month. According to the Redditor – whose username is ‘Leakileaks’ – Devil May Cry 5 will “finally be announced at PSX,” and that “Dante, Vergil, and Nero will all be playable on the game.” The Redditor goes on to say that while he isn’t sure if it will be revealed at PSX that you can play all three characters in the game, he has heard from “multiple sources” that that will be the case.

While the above information isn’t much to go on, Leakileaks did have a bit more information on the alleged reveal for Soul Calibur VI. According to him, the latest entry in the fighting game series “[will] be for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch,” while also bringing up that no Xbox One version was mentioned to him. While the Reddit user seems sure that Soul Calibur VI will be announced at PSX, the title may not initially be announced for more consoles than just the PlayStation 4. According to Leakileaks, “if the Switch version is not announced in a matter of fact way alongside it like multiplatform games do when revealed at a specific console’s event, then it should be announced during the Nintendo Direct in January that I keep hearing about”. Link will also allegedly return as a guest character on the Switch version of Soul Calibur VI, which should excite fans of the Legend of Zelda series.

As always, readers should take these rumors with a grain of salt. though this particular leak may be a bit more reliable than most. According to Leakileaks, he was the one who leaked the recently announced Injustice 2 DLC featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Enchantress, so at least he has something of a track record going for him. This year’s PlayStation Experience runs from December 9 to December 10, so we are less than a month away from seeing if Leakileaks is the real deal. For Devil May Cry and Soul Calibur fans, let’s hope he is.
