Destiny 2 Server Maintenance Schedule For This Week – Bungie Says “A Lot To Talk About In 2018”

Destiny 2 Servers

Be prepared, gamers – the Destiny 2 servers will be going down on Wednesday, January 3. They will be going offline at 7am PT, when players will no longer be able to log into the game, for maintenance and to add hotfix 1.1.1.2. An hour later, gamers will be kicked back to the title screen. The whole thing is expected to last until 12pm PT, when players will be able to log back in and download the appropriate update.

During the time in which the Destiny 2 servers are down, it provides the perfect opportunity to wonder exactly what Bungie has in store for 2018. It’s safe to say that the game has been met with its fair share of criticism since release, but a new year just might be what the team is looking for to right the ship and keep players coming back for more. According to Bungie community manager DeeJ, much more is to be discussed.

DeeJ’s statement was preceded by acting community manager dmg04’s remarks about feedback. “Feedback collection continues. Eververse, Mayhem, endgame and more. I know I sound like a broken record- but this is what I’m here to do. Collect your feedback, and represent your voices within the studio. Keep it coming,” he tweeted just before the new year.

As far as the update causing the Destiny 2 servers to be down, we won’t have full patch notes until after it goes live. However, the update is pertaining to issues with the access of Faction Rallies and Iron Banner. As many of you know, this content was locked upon the release of the Curse of Osiris expansion. Luckily, this update is set to reverse that action and unlock the game modes for all players to enjoy.

Destiny 2 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as we learn more about the incoming update, and for other gaming news, check out the following:
