Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Chocked Full of Issues; Refunds Demanded

You probably won’t hear many good things about Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare right now. Fans of the series have had more praise to give to the remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that came with the preorder of the game.

Infinite Warfare didn’t meet expectations on many fronts. At launch, the game had framerate issues with zombie mode and zero gravity missions were confusingly absent from Multiplayer, despite being present in singleplayer campaign. To top it all off, players that purchased the newest Call of Duty on Windows 10 store were unable to play online with those that got the game on Steam. To be fair, Infinity Ward and Activision never explicitly advertised crossplay between the two as a feature or selling point to the game, but both being on PC, it was just assumed that this would work natively.

The Windows 10 store is kindly refunding copies of the game, creating a feedback loop of frustration. You see, not many people bought Infinite Warfare from the Windows store to begin with, which already means a small online community to play with, but as more and more individuals request refunds, this already small community continues to shrink thus causing more people to demand refunds.

No mention has been made by Activison or Infinity Ward to merge the online play, and most believe that this will never occur. For a title that has sold almost 50 percent less than it’s predecessor, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, this is widely seen as an excessively poor start for the Infinite Warfare spin-off series.
