Blade Runner VR Game Coming Sooner Than You Think From Left 4 Dead Developers (VIDEO)

Blade Runner VR

Sci-fi fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Blade Runner 2049 to hit theaters in October, but what are the fans supposed to do in the meantime? If you happen to own an Oculus Rift VR gaming headset, it looks like you can experience the world of Blade Runner in an all new and immersive way. Thanks to Left 4 Dead and Evolve developers Turtle Rock Studios, a Blade Runner VR game is set to drop in just a couple of days.

The title of Turtle Rock Studios’ new VR experience is Blade Runner 2049: Replicant Pursuit, and the game will have direct correlations with the upcoming film. Players will pilot one of the infamous Spinners that are used for hunters to retire replicants. Being a virtual reality game, it makes sense that the experience will be in a first-person point of view as players are sent to track down and eliminate enemy threats. You can check out the teaser trailer below:

If Replicant Pursuit isn’t enough for you, don’t worry because Turtle Rock Studios is just one of three developers working with Alcon Interactive to deliver a total of three Blade Runner VR games. The other two companies working with Alcon have yet to be announced, but it is safe to assume that as the film’s release date approaches, the other two games will be released for the Oculus Rift. Oculus claims that each of the three games will offer a unique experiences from multiple perspectives.

The film is set to release on October 6th, and Blade Runner 2049: Replicant Pursuit will be available on July 21st. Are you interested in playing a Blade Runner VR game (or three)?
